Welcome to the 30th season of the Grimsby & District 3 Man Squash League
The big change that we made last season to move to Point-a-Rally (PAR) scoring seems to have been a success. Before last season actually started we changed the scoring from games being up to 11 points (as decided at the AGM) to up to 15 points. I believe this was a sensible decision and helped to get PAR scoring more universally accepted amongst our players.
This season we have slightly fewer teams than the last time out. We will have four divisions each with seven teams. In each division the teams will play each other three times over the course of the season; a total of 18 games.
Appleby Frodingham Squash Club has generously offered to continue their sponsoring of the 3 Man Leagues for a further season. As I have said for the last few years this really does underline AFSquash’s commitment to support and develop local Squash. With 6 teams spread across the four divisions all of us will have the opportunity to visit and enjoy playing at Brumby Hall during the season.
Enjoy your squash and the camaraderie of your fellow players
