LEAGUE RULES
1 Teams wishing to play in the league must pay an entry fee. To be decided at the AGM
2 A team to consist of 3 players in strict order of merit
3 Teams may register up to six players at the start of the season. The order may be changed after half of the fixtures have been fulfilled
3a Teams consisting of less than 6 players may name players from the same club from lower divisions in order of merit up to a maximum of 6 players in total
3b The other named players from the same club from the lower divisions may play a maximum of 2 games per season
4 The fixture secretary must be informed of any change to the playing order
5 Additional players may be registered on application to the fixture secretary before the 31st January of the season in force
6 A player may play in only one team except as in 3a and 3b. A player wishing to transfer may do so providing he\ she does not move down more than two divisions, has permission of both secretaries and informs the Fixture Secretary. No transfers may be made after the 31st January of the season in force
7a All three matches of a fixture must be played on the same night at the same venue
7b A team fielding only two players must concede at the third string
7c A match cannot be played with one player, it must be conceded
7d If the fixture is begun but the number one string fails to turn up, then all matches are conceded
7e A team failing to turn up for a fixture without contacting the opposing captain or the fixture secretary in good time will not only concede three points to the opposition but will also have three points deducted from their current total of points
8 Fixture Secretary to be informed of any unavoidable delays
9 Each match will be the best of five games. Each game won will score 1 point and a bonus of three points awarded
to the winning team overall
10 Score cards provided by the league to be signed by both captains and returned without delay
11 It is the teams responsibility to arrange match time, venue, markers and balls. He should also ensure prompt return of score cards
12 Score cards must always be returned even in the event of a conceded match.
13 League positions are determined by most points scored. In the event of equal points the next consideration is the
amount of 12-0 wins. If still level then the results between the tied teams will be taken into account
14 Any infringement of the rules or any points not covered by above rules will be discussed by the committee as
necessary
15 An AGM will be called once a year, open to all league participants and to which all the club secretaries will
receive written invitation
16 All matches must be played within 4 days of the stated fixture date eg OCT 9th will become OCT 12th otherwise
the match will be conceded by the away team. The bonus points will be awarded for conceded matches
